Cooking is Easy!

The Pizza Disaster!
Hi everyone! I'm Izzy's current cousin and relation Felicity! Or you can call me Lissie. Whatever you choose. Anyway, today Kit (My BFF) and I had to stay home, make dinner and do chores while Izzy and McKenna went shopping. We were supposed to make pizza. The recipe was taped to the fridge, but we didn't understand how to make the pizza dough so we used some leftover pie crust in the fridge. It looked right for pizza.
We took out all the ingredients we thought we'd need. Parmesan, Ketchup, and salt. I never knew cooking could be so easy!
Then we added the ketchup and spread it around with a knife. since it didn't look chunky enough we added some strawberry jelly and chili pepper. It was a good idea.
Then we added the cheese. doesn't it look professional?
Right before we put it in the microwave, since it doesn't fit in the toaster, Kit said, "you know what's wrong with it? It looks like a pizza."
"You're right Kit!" I said looking at it closely, "It does!" While it was in the microwave we ironed some clothes.
But I accidentally burnt a hole in a dress. Oops!
Then the pizza came out of the microwave. Delish!
After it came out of the oven we thought it would be a good idea to have Kit's baby sister Anna taste it first,so Kit ran and got her.
"Time for tasting little cockapoo!" declared Kit to her sister.
Kit thrust it into Anna's mouth. All of a sudden Anna began screaming and crying.
"What's wrong tiny cheese?" asked Kit curiously.

Of course, she didn't answer so Kit responded graciously.
"Poor little pooch, she must be having digestion problems!"
"I'm going to try it!" I said bravely.
"Eeeeeeewwwwwww!"
"Ugh! Yuck! Gross! Disgusting!"
I spat it out into the sink.
"That's SO gross!"
Hey! I worked hard on that!" shouted Kit
"You? I did just as much work as you did and ironing!"
"You burnt a hole in my dress!" Kit yelled.
Just then Kit's mom came in.
"Girls what on earth has happened?!"
I'd never felt so ashamed. I'd just realized what a mess we made, there was Parmesan cheese and ketchup everywhere.
In the end we had to order pizza, but at least it's a start. Besides, cooking is easy!

September 27, 2013
Hi everybody! Today my mom told me that Felicity and I would be visiting Colonial Williamsburg on October 3rd. Felicity and I got really excited and we both felt like pretending we lived in the Colonial era. We were trying to do ballroom dancing, but kept stepping on each other's toes when Elizabeth came in.

"Will you please stop being so loud?!" she said exasperatedly, "I'm trying to study!"
"Sorry!" Felicity said apologetically, "we were just-"
She stopped talking and looked out the window. Then suddenly she gasped. Elizabeth, thinking it was an emergency ran over and looked out the window. Then she rolled her eyes as if it was some sort of joke and left. I finally looked out the window and what I saw made me groan. It was Felicity's mom. Felicity and I, still in our costumes ran and jumped on my bed for "safety" even though it made no difference.
Her mom came in and made her change into regular clothes. Then they left. I was so bored so I just thought about Virginia. I pictured the Autumn leaves perfectly orange. We don't really have perfectly orange and red leaves in Paris. But in Virginia it must be lovely. I'd seen pictures before of the trees and leaves.
Then I realized that Felicity and I would be needing passports. I hoped that Felicity already had one. I was practically asleep when my mom came in.
"Honey. Good news!" she said.
"What?" I asked eagerly.
"You're going to be visiting Florida as well as Virginia!"
"Florida?" I shouted disbelievingly, " you mean Disneyland!"
"Yes!" answered my mom beaming.
"How can we afford that?" I asked.
"Grandma just called and gave us money for a rental car!" she said in voice that sounded as disbelieving as mine.
"Woah! Can we visit McKenna and Kit?" I asked thinking of my best friends.
"And their cousins Chrissa and Elizabeth!" She answered me happily.
"Yeah! Don't they have a blog like me?"
"Yes it is called The Saltys." she replied calmly.
I remeber visiting their blog. Here is a link:

September 26, 2013
Hi everyone! Today my sister Elizabeth and I went shopping for Felicity's birthday. I wasn't too happy about my sister coming. All she ever shops for is clothes. Oh well! In life you can't always have everything. Try telling that to my sister! For Felicity's birthday shopping we went to my favorite store. All Star Girl's Boutique!

When we walked into the store Elizabeth looked as if her birthday had come early. She gasped and ran over to a skirt on rack.
"Look at this skirt Izzy!" she squealed, "It would look perfect with  my... everything!"
"Elizabeth-" I began, but she interrupted.
"Izzy it's not like it's going to take hours!"
With that she skipped off to the dressing rooms.
"Ta-da!" squealed Elizabeth.
"Uhhh it looks- nice." I stated politely.
"Izzy! You're so rude!" said Elizabeth angrily, "I can tell you think it's ugly!"
"I never said it was ugly!" I argued, but Elizabeth was giving me an I-think-you're-lying look so I stopped talking.
Then Elizabeth spotted a shirt and pink dress and piled them into the cart along with the skirt she was so attached to.
I was forced to sit there the whole time as she greedily grabbed items in the makeup and hair section. Then she walked over to me holding the a purse that I personally didn't like.
"Look Izzy!" Elizabeth said excitedly, "Isn't this perfect?"
"For Felicity?" I answered, "no way!"
"Not Felicity! For me!" exclaimed Elizabeth.
"I thought we were shopping for Felicity!" I shouted angrily at her, "For once will you please shop for someone other than yourself!"
I picked up the purse an held it in her face for her to see.
"Do you seriously think that you need another purse?" I shouted at her angrily, "'cause you don't, you have fifty more at home that you can use!"
I'd never seen Elizabeth so angry. She opened her mouth to protest, but I wouldn't let her.
"You're so selfish! I can't believe you!" I yelled.
"You're the selfish one!" shouted Elizabeth.
I started to yell back, but I realized that everyone was staring at us. Elizabeth must have seen it too because she stalked away. I was walking through the aisle muttering to myself when I noticed an album lying open. I saw more albums around it and one particular book caught my eye. It was pink with a zebra print on it. Perfect for Felicity I thought to myself. I picked it up, but then I noticed Elizabeth walking towards me.
"Hi." she mumbled, looking at her feet, "I'm sorry I shouted at you."
I felt as if this were unnecessary because I had really been the one who started shouting, but after all she had been kind of selfish. Actually we both were.
"I forgive you" I responded, " I'm sorry too we were both being selfish, I guess".
Then I showed her the album I'd found.
"Cool!" she responded, "I found something for Felicity too".
Then she held up a pamphlet with the words Computer Manual written across it. I laughed out loud.
" That's perfect!" I shouted,"but insulting to Felicity." We laughed. Together. And about the same joke.

September 25, 2013

Hi! Sorry about the posting problem. Felicity crashed our computer by pressing the F8 button. She always seems to cause hubbubs when we hang out. Anyway, it was terrible! The screen went blank and we had to hire a mechanic to fix it! Felicity was crying and sobbing, " I'm so sorry!". Unfortunately when the mechanic fixed it didn't work properly because we had to re-download everything and I had to get a new email because Elizabeth (my sister) couldn't remember the password for me. To make matters worse Felicity "accidentally" dropped my camera in a lake so I couldn't take very many pictures on Elizabeth's camera. Her camera is full of self-portraits anyway! I can't finish this post completely because Felicity is coming over. Bye for now!

August 9 2013

Hello! My name is Izzy. I live in Paris, France. I live with my sister Elizabeth and my parents.

My cousin Felicity moved here last week. Unfortunately she isn't very good at learning new languages and is having a very hard time getting around in Paris.

Yesterday Felicity and I went to a cafe.
Our parents weren't there so Felicity thought we could do whatever we want without any one finding out.

Soon the waitress came to take our orders.

I ordered hot cocoa and then Felicity said something that surprised me. When the waitress asked her what she wanted to drink she said "Dr. Pepper, please" I started to giggle. The waitress looked confused at first then she smiled and said, "Ce n'est pas sur le menu". Felicity elbowed me."What did she just say?" she asks. "It's not on the menu, Felicity!" I say, still giggling, "let alone for breakfast!" Felicity turns red and re-orders. Finally we settle down and eat our food.

While we eat I notice an old lady who lives
                 in our apartment complex.

Unfortunately she is with her poodle. The same one who tried to bite my hand off on New Year's Day. Not a good way to start the year!

Suddenly the poodle starts yapping and pulling
the table cloth off the table!

Then the dog knocks me off my chair and the table collapsed on me knocking all the food off the table on to me!
I was covered in food and stains!                                   This was not a good situation!

Then Felicity, instead of laughing at me reached                       for a napkin and began to clean me up.

                      Today I learned a lesson:
                       A true friend is  loyal.
